ARC-Robotics offers a complete solution for robotic clipping applications of plastic mouldings directly on the line, after removing parts from the injection moulding machine
The workplace is designed as a stand-alone robotic unit, made from a massive steel frame and safety railing. The unit is fitted with a FANUC robot, with a gripper for optimal handling of the metal or plastic clip.
The robot is located at an optimum distance from other peripherals to achieve its maximum range. The robot is fitted with parallel pneumatic grippers on the wrist, suitable for handling metal or plastic clips. These are transported to the robot using a vibrating storage tank on a vibrating tray.
The robot allows for subsequent positioning of the clips at the end of the vibration tray into an exact position. Loading windows with interchangeable jigs are part of the workplace. The jig consists of a mould, formed in accordance with the shape of the part, and mechanical clamps. The jig will be filled with a protective layer. Checking the clip position will be done by sensors located in the jig.
