We created a development workplace with the FANUC CR-7iA/L robot for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of University of West Bohemia
We provided the development workplace with a FANUC CR-7iA/L collaborative robot system with the HandlingTool extension implemented. The robot is fitted with a camera and a collaborative electric gripper for manipulating Al dies.
A conveyor for the boards at the robot’s workplace and a conveyor for the boards at the operator’s workplace collaborative robot system will also be part of the workplace. The workplace will be used for development projects dealing with the interaction of the operator and the collaborative robot and research on the applicability of collaborative robots in production.
- the operator places the plate on the conveyor close to the robot
- the robot takes a picture of the board’s position and recognizes individual colours on the board
- step by step the robot stores the dies by colour onto positions in the board
- and then moves the filled-up board to the manual operator
- human work is facilitated
The solution is conceived as a separate robotic unit with a FANUC CR-7iA/L robot. It is fitted with a SCHUNK collaborative gripper for handling aluminium dies. Within the framework of a comprehensive solution a workplace was created, which is further equipped with 4 gravity reservoirs of aluminum dies. Workplace safety is ensured by the use of collaborative technologies without the need for protective railing and security features.
